Birthday Celebration for Kaknästornet!

By on May 9, 2017

This year, the Kaknästornet becomes 50 years old. The tower, that inaugurated by Olof Palme in 1967, has since then been one of Stockholm’s most famous landmarks, and at the same time formed a cornerstone in Swedish radio and television broadcasts.

Saturday May 13, Teracom AB will pay attention to this at the Kaknästornet with a celebrated day for the whole family. There will be opportunity with the Virtual reality to take a walk in the tower while learning more about the history, present and future of Kaknästornet.

Many activities for the kids

On site there will be activities for children, such as jumping castle, face painting, puzzle corners with legobygge and the opportunity to fold and decorate their own Kaknästorn. In addition, the birthday child will certainly be celebrated with cake, bun, coffee and Festis, free for all visitors.

The Kaknästornet has been a central part of Stockholm’s skyline for 50 years, while playing an important role in the distribution of radio and television throughout Sweden. Now we want to celebrate it properly, partly with an event at the tower and partly with activities on the internet, where everyone can participate with their own pictures and memories, says Marcus Hartmann, Communications and Marketing Manager at Teracom AB.
