Billy Elliot – about everyone’s right to dream and be the one they want to be – comes back!

In the fall of 2020, Billy Elliot will be back and becomes the first premiere on the Big Stage after the move. Billy Elliot is one of Kulturhuset Stadsteaterns biggest successes through the ages, with 120 sold out performances in 2017. The new premier will be in collaboration with the dance school BASE23.

Tickets will be released in 2018.

Billy Elliot, the acclaimed and award-winning West End musical with music by Elton John, had his Stockholm premiere on the Big Stage at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern February 10, 2017. The final performance of a fully sold out play period was played for the full salon on November 22, 2017.

Billy Elliot has made its triumphal march over the world as a film and as a celebrated musical and is a tribute to art as the power and inspiration to transform life beyond one’s wildest dreams. The musical Billy Elliot had a premiere at the West End in London 2005 with music by Elton John. The Swedish premiere was at Malmö Opera in 2016. The Swedish set was developed in a unique collaboration between Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, Malmö Opera and the dance school BASE23 where the children have received their dance education.
