Adam & Albin opens a new restaurant concept in Bibliotekstan

Enrich Birger Jarls Passage in the heart of Stockholm and Bibliotekstan will get a gastronomic meeting at the end of the year when a new restaurant concept under the direction of Adam & Albin opens. The address will be Smålandsgatan 10 and the food concept will consist of three parts; restaurant, bar and take-away.

Adam Dahlberg and Albin Wessman are an award-winning cook duo who in recent years harvested great successes with their different restaurant concepts in Stockholm. Under their direction there are both the noodle bar Raamen on the south and the luxury pub Adam/Albin on Rådmansgatan. Wall at the wall at Rådmansgatan, the duon also has its food studio laundry room where they offer food and wine courses as well as private meals. The focus on the new restaurant concept in Birger Jarls Passage is kept secret until the opening, but it is clear that it will contain both restaurant, bar and take-away of a total of about 200 square meters.

– We are very pleased about the opportunity to open our new exciting restaurant concept in this central location. There will be something completely new that is not available in any other location in Stockholm, said Albin Wessman, owner and CEO.

Birger Jarls Passage, which is Stockholm’s smallest mall, opened in 1897 and features an elegant interior with dark, richly decorated wooden panels and an indirectly lit glass roof as for the thought of Burlington Arcade in London. Now that Adam Dahlberg and Albin Wessman choose to establish themselves in these historic premises, it not only strengthens Birger Jarls Passage, but all of Bibliotekstan as a culinary venue.

– It is an honor to welcome Adam Dahlberg and Albin Wessman to Bibliotekstan and Birger Jarls Passage. Their new interesting food concept becomes an important part of our strategy of developing Bibliotekstan to Stockholm’s obvious meeting place. Bibliotekstan offers the best in Swedish and international fashion combined with interesting and vibrant restaurant experiences, says Emanuel Westin, Head of Business Development Store Stockholm, Hufvudstaden.

The exact opening date for the new food concept in Birger Jarls Passage is currently not determined but will be announced in the autumn.
