Prince is one of history’s most important artists and most influential creators. When he tragically left us in 2016, he also left a huge void and a huge lack in the music world. In December, Live Nation and Prince Estate will host three celebration concerts in Sweden – cured by none other than Questlove (from The Roots among others). 4U: A Symphonic Celebration of Prince will showcase Prince Music in a whole new way – of a complete symphony orchestra with some of the world’s best musicians.

December 8 – Malmö Arena, Malmö
December 9 – Annexet, Stockholm
December 10 – Partille Arena, Gothenburg

Questlove is one of the world’s most recognized musicians, music connoisseurs and above all: Prince lover. That’s why he was the one who would cure the 4U: A Symphonic Celebration of Prince music, so obviously. Questlove himself summarizes the concerts:

”Because of his untimely transition: fans and supporters are trying to find solace and comfort in celebrating his music and creations. So I wanted to give them an environment to reminisce, dance, smile, cry, & sing to Prince.”

This is the first time Prince Estate stands behind a symphonic tribute of Prince in this way. Each concert will be a unique experience with world-class musicians – and all the music we love from Prince’s amazing career. As a composer Brent Fischer has been taken in – son of Clare Fischer who arranged orchestras for Prince for many years. In addition, the recognized composer Miguel Atwood Ferguson is part of the creative team – and SRae Productions represents an incredible visual experience during the evenings.

It will be a performance for all the senses of Prince hits, fanfavorites, medleys and all performed by the Stockholm Concert Orchestra. Something similar has never been done – and the evenings in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö in December will be three very special evenings for old and young Prince fans!

“Instead of hate – celebrate!” – Prince
