Per Demervall was born in 1955 and grew up in Stockholm. He debuted as a cartoonist in 1980 with Ulltryfflarna and has since been published with about fifteen own works in words and pictures, mainly children’s books and comics.

The big breakthrough came in 1986 with the serial processing of August Strindberg’s The Red Room. Several of his series is set in Stockholm. These include the autobiographical It was not so long ago … that’s about what it was like to grow up in Södermalm in the sixties.

On Series gallery exhibition shows original drawings and color reproductions of including the Red Room, It was not so long ago … and the Dead Room.
